A Special February: 20 Years of Warelog

February has always been a special month for us. But this year, it has an even greater meaning; it was in February 2005 that we took the first step towards turning a dream into reality: a company that was much more than just business – a company that impacted lives, created opportunities and strengthened relationships between everyone involved in our journey.

It all started with Luis Pinto and António Rui Silva, who created a Customs Warehouse in Porto, which quickly became a reference in the market. Shortly after, Luis Silva joined this dream, and so, on February 14, 2005, Warelog became a reality.

A Story of Determination and Growth

Since then, we have traveled a path full of achievements, challenges overcome and successful partnerships. We have built solid relationships with clients, strengthened ties with partners and cultivated a team that “wears the shirt” every day with passion and dedication.

From 12 to 73 employees: we grow together!

We started with a small team of 12 people, and today we are 73 dedicated professionals, united by the commitment to offer innovative solutions and excellent services.

Our growth is also reflected in the Administrative and Financial Services (SAF) department, which started with just two people and now has six employees.

Carla Coelho, who began her career with us as an office assistant in 2005, is now the department coordinator, responsible for many highly responsible projects. According to her, “SAF is a cohesive, dedicated and responsible team that strives to maintain high standards of performance and rigor, while ensuring a motivating and productive work environment. The stability and performance of our team are essential to ensuring the quality of the services we provide.”

The quality and efficiency of SAF operations is not limited to caring for the team, but also to the continuous improvement of internal processes. To ensure effectiveness in all areas of the company, SAF plays an essential role in this dynamic, carrying out monthly controlling audits. These audits allow us to monitor performance, in addition to proactively implementing improvements to correct possible errors or failures. In this way, we ensure that all operations are always aligned with standards of efficiency, control and compliance with internal procedures.

ISO 9001: Commitment to Quality

One of the major milestones we are celebrating this year is the 10th anniversary of our ISO 9001 certification, achieved in 2015. This recognition reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of management and quality, ensuring that each service provided is synonymous with trust and excellence.

Expansion and Evolution: We grow with the Market

In recent years, we have invested heavily in the growth and diversification of our services:

Maritime and Air Sectors: A strategic investment that has enabled us to keep up with the demands of the global market and consolidate our position.

International Land Transport: We started with the Benelux line, later expanding to Italy, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ensuring an ever-increasing coverage in Europe.

Logistics Infrastructure: We currently have four warehouses strategically located in Alverca, São João da Madeira, Leixões and Vila do Conde, providing efficiency and flexibility to our customers.

20 Years of Ethics, Respect and Professionalism

We have completed 20 years of history, built with effort, dedication and solid values.
